One of my fantasy teams this yr, one of my strongest is getting a lot of attention from another player in my league. He is feening over my guys trying to trade me for them, and I have declined everyone so far, but then I got thinking that I could spin this to my advantage, if hes really serious about wanting my people I could make it to where I benefit out of the deal. Heres the situation. My team which is listed below i feel is very strong at depth at every position right now except my # 2 RB. Thomas Jones remains hurt, and I dont want to get rid of him but I would like to upgrade a guy on the bench to feel more of a safety net if he does go down, same goes with my # 3 WR, Donald Driver.
Heres my roster
QB= Bulger/Rivers
RB= Gore, Jones, Deangelo Williams, LenDale White, Brandon Jackson
WR= Wayne, Andre Johnson, Driver, Crotchery, Brandon Jones
TE= McMichael. Olsen
K=Wilkins
DEF= San Dog
Besides the two I already listed i am also not feeling Jones for Tenn, I once thought of him as a great sleeper pic, but am having doubts now and am thinking about dropping him for Jarrett cause Holt is hurt, Jones (GB) great filler if Driver sees some injury time and is already fighting for the #2 spot, or Roydell Williams, who is imrpressing on the Tenn roster, fighting for Jones's spot.
Giving up Wayne is not somthing I want to do lightly and is the person this guy is wanting, but if I could give up Wayne for a descent RB and WR, I think I might come out a lil better than sticking with just him. Obviously Im asking for others opinions here to shed some light on the subject. His roster is pretty weak, which is why hes wanting reggie. The last trade he proposed for Reggie was for Pennington, Patriots, and Lynch. Dont really care about any of those and not biting. His roster for RB/WR are:
RB: Willie Parker, Edge, F Taylor, Lynch
WR: Ocho Cinqo, Roy Williams, Reggie Williams, Jarrett, and Kevin Curtis.
Now I havent proposed this trade yet but if I was going to trade off Wayne I belive this is what I could get from him.
Reggie Wayne for Edge, Kevin Curtis
Obviously neither are as impact but I think overall I will stand to gain more points as I am putting a lot of faith here thinkn that the new blocking scheme will benefit edge, and if McNabb stays healthy Curtis is his number 1. I havent decided on this and am asking for input. I appreciate the help.
