NASCAR Centurion Boats at The Glen Expert Picks

My Pocono Pick were mostly bad. I picked the highest scoring A list driver in my sleeper picks which was nice, but my active A list driver, Jeff Burton, scored a bit poorly due to a late pit road penalty.

I had the third best scoring B list driver in my active list which was nice, but both Bobby Labonte and David Gilliland both were very poor B list scores.

I also had one the best C list drivers for the week in A.J. Allmendinger, but I also had one of the worst scoring C list drivers in Michael Waltrip.

A list active driver:

Denny Hamlin - This is the third time on this list for Hamlin. On the road courses he has not been that bad of a driver.  At Watkins Glen he has nothing but two top ten place finishes in two starts.  I feel his luck will continue at this track.

B list active drivers:

Robby Gordon - This is Gordon's second time on this list.  He stunk the last time I used him at Sonoma, but he is not so great at that track anyway.  At Watkins Glen though he is one of the best at this track data wise so I am trying him out again.

Juan Pablo Montoya - This is Montoya's forth time on this list - his first time here was a bust with Juan finishing 39th.  I feel he can stay out of trouble this time and have a great finish.

C list active driver:

Marcos Ambrose - First time on this list for Ambrose.  He has to qualify to get in, but he was seventh fastest in qualifying at Sonoma. He had a crappy finish at Sonoma, but I will take a gamble with him as he is one of the best road course races in NASCAR today.

Sleeper picks.

Jeff Gordon - His finishes at this track have been solid and he is one of the best road course racers NASCAR has, but seems to do better out at Sonoma though.

Jamie McMurray - McMurray has three solid finishes at this track including one top five.  I think he can do well at this track again and have a solid finish.

Ron Fellows - This road course ringer is in a car that is in the top 35 in points so you do not have to worry how bad he does on qualifying day. He has two top fives at this track and won at Montreal last week. He is a high quality ringer.
