NASCAR Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 Expert Picks

Well, I had a bit of a mixed bag worth of picks at the Brickyard.  All the active drivers were in the top 21 and I had two drivers in the top 10. Only one sleeper pick, Martin Truex Jr., was any good.

The C list active driver was also a bit mixed.  I picked one without any data that had a solid finish for a C list driver, but both Patrick Carpentier and A.J. Allmendinger without any data as well wound up doing even better.  I thought going data free for an active C list driver was the best way to go.

The C List sleeper Travis Kvapil was super popular in fantasy drafts, but wound up being a bust in the end.

A List Active Driver:

Jeff Burton - This is the third time on this list for Burton.  In his last five races at this track he has showcased nothing but solid finishes at this track.  I say that his luck is going to continue at this track and is a safe A list pick.

B List Active Drivers:

Bobby Labonte - Labonte makes his third appearance on this list.  Five out of the last six races have been really solid for this driver at this track.  I say it will continue for this driver. I did have him as a sleeper pick the last time we were here, but this time he moves up to active driver duty.

Kasey Kahne - This is the fourth time on this list for Kahne.  He won at this track the last time they came to it, but I am going to pick him here.  I feel he will remain hot at this track and score another top ten finish.

C List Active Driver:

A.J. Allmendinger - Allmendinger makes his first appearance on this list.  A bit of a gamble with this pick, but this driver over the past couple of Sprint Cup races has really impressed me.  He did finish twelfth at this place in the first race this season at this track.

Sleeper Picks:

Jimmie Johnson - This driver is peaking at the right time.  He has five out of six races with a top 12 finish.  He did win the race at the Brickyard last Sunday, but I think he will have two weeks in a row of solid top ten finishes.

David Gilliland - A bit of a gamble with this driver, but I think it will work out.  He did score a top 20 finish at this track the last time they showed up at this track.  I think he will continue with another good finish at this track.
