Busch
steals first
place with his second place finish and controversial wreck at Richmond.
He is certainly one hot and rowdy driver and now has the Sprint Cup points
lead.
2) Clint Boyer (Previous position: 4th) - Boyer
moves up two spots in my rankings with his win at Richmond and he also moved up
three spots in the Sprint Cup standings. He was oh-so-very-very close to taking
the first spot, in my opinion.
3) Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Previous position: 1st) - DEJ moves down two spots with
his 15th place finish at Richmond. He had a hot car all night long,
but that late race spin caused him from getting a top ten spot. Still
very close to keeping the top spot in my rankings.
4) Jeff Burton (Previous position: 3rd) - Burton
drops down one place with his 11th place finish at Richmond.
He also moved to down to second place in the points. No problems with
this driver.
5) Kevin Harvick (Previous position: 7th) - Moving up! Harvick gains a couple spots with his eighth
place finish at Richmond and with the drivers of Denny Hamlin and Jimmy Johnson
with not so hot finishes.
6) Carl Edwards (Previous position: 8th) - Edwards moves up two spots with
his top ten finish at Richmond. He rebounded nicely from his awful finish
at Talladega.
7) Denny Hamlin (Previous position: 6th) -
Hamlin moves only down one spot for his 24th place finish at
Richmond. He had the best car on the night and if it was not for a tire
problem late he would have been the winner of the race.
8) Jimmie Johnson (Previous position: 5th)
- A poor 30th place finish at Richmond due to getting into the big
wreck for this driver moves him down three spots. He is easily in danger
in dropping out with another finish like this.
9) Ryan Newman (Previous position: 10th) -
Newman moves up only one spot even with his top ten place finish at
Richmond. He is starting to get hot again and is looking to make a move
up these rankings.
10) Greg Biffle (Previous position: 9th) -
Biffle only moves down one spot due to having a worse finish than Ryan
Newman. He is doing just enough to stay on my list, but can easily fall
off of it.
