I would like to quickly say that I
rebounded a bit from last
week. Out of the eight picks I had, only Kyle Busch and Aric Almirola did
horribly. Not going to complain at all on the other six picks.
A list Active Driver:
Jimmie
Johnson: Johnson finally makes is on my active driver
list for the first time. I think his team has finally rebounded. He
has the last win at this place which is nice and has a total of four top ten
finishes in the past six races which is great.
B List Active Driver:
Martin
Truex Jr.:
This is Truex Jr's third time on the active drivers list for me since I
feel he can easily pull off a top ten finish to keep the top ten finish streak
alive for DEI at this track. His average finish over the past six races
is 9.4; this is second best among drivers racing this weekend.
Kasey
Kahne:
This is Kahne's second time on the list for me. He has one win at
this track in 2006. I like him because he has 4 top ten finishes already
this season and is on a roll. His overall performance at the track is not
super hot though.
C List Active Driver:
Paul
Menard:
Taking Menard is a monster of a gamble, but I am going to take it.
He has one top 20 finish at this track which is nice. He is 23rd
in points this season which is okay, but not great.
Sleeper Picks:
Clint
Boyer: Boyer has no wins at this
track, but his last four starts have all be top 20 finishes. This season
so far he is 12th place in the points and has three top ten finishes
this season.
Ryan
Newman:
Newman's performance at this track has not been so hot, but in his last
race he pulled in a top five finish. A bit of a gamble, but I think it is
safe though. He is 11th place in the points now which is great.
Elliott
Sadler:
I am taking a bit of gamble with this driver. He has two top 15
place finishes at this track in the past six races which is okay. He is
20th place in points at this time with one top ten this season.
