1)
Kyle Busch (Last Week: 3
rd)
- This Joe Gibbs is on a tear with his win at Atlanta. He even has a 5.0
average finish so far this season. He is going to stay in the first place
spot if he keeps this up. He is so good this season he is in the top five
in points in all three major series.
2)
Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Last Week: 4th)
- Two top five finishes in the past two races along with Kasey and Carl not
doing so well at Atlanta move him up to the second place spot. He is
another hot driver right now.
3)
Kasey Kahne (Last Week: 1st)
- Finishing 26th this weekend at Atlanta moves him down a couple of
spots. He is going to continue to drop in my rankings if he has finishes
middle of the pack again.
4)
Ryan Newman (Last Week: 5th)
- Newman moves up a spot, basically because Carl did so badly. It was another
solid top twenty finish for him at Atlanta and he is continuing on with
solid start to the season.
5)
Carl Edwards (Last Week: 2nd)
- With his crappy 42nd place finish at Atlanta he drops down three
spots. He also lost 10 positions in the points standings as well which
certainly does not help him in the power rankings as well.
6)
Greg Biffle (Last Week: 7th)
- With a slightly better finish this week than Kevin Harvick and being second
in points he gains one spot. Biffle is having a solid start to the year.
7)
Kevin Harvick (Last Week: 6th)
- With a slightly worse finish than Greg Biffle he moves down one spot.
He is third place in the points and having a solid start.
8)
Jeff Burton (Last Week: 8th)
- Three top tens in a row keeps this driver where he is in the rankings.
He is fifth in the points as well which is great.
9)
Brian Vickers (Last Week: 10th)
- After finishing with a top ten finish over the weekend at Atlanta he moves up
a spot. This driver and team are off to an amazing start. Keep this start
up and they will be on top of my power rankings.
10)
Kurt Busch (Last Week: Off) - Makes
the list for the first time this year with his sold finish at Atlanta. He has
three top 15 finishes this year. If he continues with strong finishes he can
stay on the ranking list.
Biggest gainer(s):
Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. - two spots
Biggest loser:
Carl Edwards - three spots
Dropped off List:
Elliott Sadler.
New to list:
Kurt Busch
