My A list active driver pick for the UAW Dodge 400
Denny Hamlin - The driver has only two starts at this track
but they are both top ten finishes. Joe Gibbs cars have been dominated
this year and I feel he can have a dominating performance again at this track.
My B list active driver picks for the UAWDodge 400
Kasey Kahne - I do not think I am taking a gamble with this
driver. He has a top ten finish in 2006 at this track, but Kasey loves
the new tires Goodyear is providing this year giving him two top ten's this
year and I feel this trend will continue. At this track he does have two
top ten's in the even years though.
Jamie McMurray - I am taking a bit of a gamble with this
Roush Fenway driver, but he does have two top ten place finishes at this track.
He does not have great finishes this year, but I think he can have his first
quality finish of the year.
My C list active driver pick for the UAWDodge 400
Brian Vickers - Toyota cars are surprising me big time this
year and Brian is 11th in points. He only has three starts at
the track and not top twenty finishes, but I feel he can have his first top ten
at this track.
My sleeper picks for the UAW Dodge 400
Dale Earnhardt Jr. - Over the past six years his best finish
and only top ten finish was a second place finish in 2003. I think a
change over to the Hendrick team is just what he needs to pull off a solid
finish at the track.
Kurt Busch - He has only two top ten finishes in the past
six years, but this team has team has been surprising this year and he does
look like a solid sleeper for this race. I think he can get back to solid
finishes at this track.
Mark Martin-He has one win at the track and four top ten
finishes at this track in the past six years. He has the experience to
necessary for another solid finish at this track which I think he is going to
do.
