NOTES: Blank spaces showcase
driver was not in race
This table looks at only the last six races at this track,
drivers that have a start, and
is also sorted by average finish. |
A look at the data:
The first thing you notice is that that the drivers with multiple
wins, they win the race in consecutive years. Although that might look
good for Jimmy Johnson, I do not think he is going to win the race this
weekend.
If we look at the top ten's data by team or owner over the
past six years we see that both Jack Roush and Rick Hendrick have the same
amount of drivers in the top ten over the past three years. Picking one
from each team can be good idea for you fantasy team.
If you look at the big table it also showcases some
trends. The current threesome of Joe Gibbs drivers is really good at this
track. Exclude the worst finish from Tony and Kyle and they both have an
average finish under 10.
It also shows a hot Jeff Gordon in the last three years of
the data. Mark Martin has been hot in 4 out of the last six races
at this track.
Drivers like Matt Kenseth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. do not
really like track.
Not in the data above, but something to pay attention to...
Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman have started out this year really
hot, I think those two can stay hot through this race and are fantasy team
worthy.
