My A list active driver pick for the Auto Club 500
Carl Edwards -
This is my Roush Fenway driver pick for the race. He has six top ten
finishes at this track in the past seven races. I think his trend in the
race is going to continue and will do great at this track.
My B list active driver picks for the Auto Club 500
Kyle Busch -
Winner at this track in 2005; has continued since the win to produce top ten
finishes in every race. I do not think that this trend is going to stop
as well even though he has changed teams.
Martin Truex Jr.
- I am taking a bit of a gamble with this driver, but in the last four races he
has three top twenty finishes with one of them being a top ten in the last race
won at the track.
My C List active Driver Pick for the Auto Club 500
David Reutimann
- I am taking a big gamble with this driver. Last season he did worse than 30th
in both races. Michael Waltrip Racing certainly have shown they have
improved this year and I feel he is going to have a great performance this
week,
My sleeper picks for the Auto Club 500
Kasey Kahne
- He is the only Dodge driver to win at this track when he won at the
track in 2006. GEM looks like they have improved big time over the off-season
and he is very hungry for another win after the poor 2007 he had.
Juan Pablo Montoya -
He has no top 20 finishes at this track in the two races he has been in at this
track. A bit of a gamble if you choose him, but I think he can a high
quality finish with this driver.
Jeff Burton -
Good for quality finishes at all tracks. He finished fourth place twice
last season at this track. He is a lock for a another high quality finish
at this track.
