NASCAR Chevy Rock And Roll 400 Expert Picks

I had another solid group of picks last week, but did select one "bust."

Kyle Busch was not a factor in this race and finished in the top ten.  Jeff Gordon qualified in the top four, did lead a lap, but was not a factor at all and finished in 15th.  I was expecting more out of him.

I also had one of the best C list drivers in Brian Vickers.

Using the first two sleeper picks would have been the way to go this week.  Jimmie Johnson and Greg Biffle finished in the top two spots.  Sam Hornish Jr. though was a C list pick and pray bust.

Note: Qualifying for this race could get rained out.

A List Active Driver:

Denny Hamlin - This is the fourth time on this list for Hamlin. I had him as an active driver last time at this track and he was a bit of a bust after his tire blew late.  I think he still is one of the most dominant driver at this track and worthy of an A list active driver spot

B List Active Drivers:

Mark Martin - Sixth time on this list for Martin.  I am plugging him in where I think he will have great finishes.  Should have picked him last time, but did not due to bad data.  Has one of the best finishing averages at this track.

David Ragan - This is the sixth time on this list for Ragan. I really think this chase worthy driver is going to have a solid finish at this track and really give it a go at trying to get into the chase.  He has nothing but top 20 finishes at this track and was on my active driver list the last time at this track.

C List Active Driver:

A.J. Allmendinger - This is the third time on this list for Allmendinger. As of late he has really pulled in lots of quality finishes.  His data though for this track is not great at all.  I am picking at praying on this driver.

Sleeper Picks:

Kevin Harvick - This driver has been great as of late in the Sprint Cup series and has one of the best finishing averages at Richmond.  I think his streak will continue at this track.

Martin Truex Jr. - Truex Jr. has only five starts at this track but his last finish was a top 10.  I really feel that he likes this track now and will have another solid finish at this track
He has really improved at this track from his early finishes in the 40's.

David Reutimann - With all the C list drivers not so hot at this track I am going with this driver.  It is a momentum pick you can say after his top ten finish at the Auto Club Speedway last week.
