Well, here it is. It's the final major tournament of the season. In a season that brought us a season-ending injury to Tiger, the emergence of a young superstar in Anthony Kim, the resurgence of 48-year-old Kenny Perry; as well as a "changing of the guard" from the "Big 5" into the new crop of golfers. The final WGC Tournament of the season certainly lived up to the tradition built in the short amount of time the WGC series has been around. This was, in a way, old home week at Bridgestone. It's difficult to find someone who would be worthy of a "Who Is He" profile when we're looking at a WGC event. It's a big week this week on Tour for several reasons. First, the FedEx Cup playoffs start in less than a month, and there are fewer and fewer opportunities to make huge leaps from barely scraping the top-144 and into the top-30 required to be in the field at the Tour Championship. The Canadian Open has been a fun tournament to this point. Scoring has been relatively low, and Anthony Kim is the only "high profile" player in the top-10 at this point; which is exactly the kind of tournament I like. It's been a wild start to The Open at this point. Greg Norman is challenging for the lead with Rocco Mediate, K.J. Choi and Camilo Villegas of all people.
