• MLB Top Weekly Performances – Center Fielders

  It seems that the centerfield position always has that one player who comes from nowhere and puts up great numbers, but then that player isn't seen again for a while. This week is a perfect example because that's most likely what's going to happy. Cody Ross surprised everyone this week with his, finally, consistent play.   For the third straight week, not much came from left field. It's like picking the best of the worst and sugar coating it. Matt Holliday, Carl Crawford and Carlos Lee decided to step up and fill those spots this week.   This week definitely held a few surprises in terms of the value of players. There were some complete surprises in terms of those that should be sold high and those that should be invested in. In fact, it was a little odd that some of those with the highest values aren't exactly elite fantasy members anymore.   I'd like to start this week's top performances with a joke from Karolyn Rose, the wife of Pete Rose. She said "It was too bad I wasn't a second baseman; then I'd probably have seen a lot more of my husband." • MLB Top Weekly Performances – Center Fielders

  The centerfield position was very strong this week. It wasn't exactly the players you would have expected, save for Beltran since he's been hot lately, but the others were extremely solid this week and helped several fantasy owners. It's great to see more examples of five tool players this week.   1. Don't drink Colorado water. Colorado was a hot team in fantasy drafts a few months ago; that's generally what happens when a fairly young team makes a Cinderella run into the World Series.   Apparently this is the week of the backup catcher. Each catcher listed below is either a backup catcher, or they are relegated to splitting duty for a decent amount of time.
